Tech notes:
At UFM, we shoot all video with a Panasonic HDSLR camera, the Lumix GH1, nicknamed “The Lorax”, with the firmware upgrade for Full HD 1080p, true native 24fps, @42kbps with AVCHD compression using two 16Gb class 10 speed memory cards and two 6 hour batteries. We use a 14-140mm lens. We mount a dual XLR adapter to record audio directly to the camera from shotgun and wireless mics. As for mounting systems, our research and development has produced original designs which include a handheld stabilizer, a tripod slider, and a table dolly. Our equipment purchases and designs must achieve 3 criteria: High-performance functionality, Professional aesthetic, and Sustainability.
